In 2015 the Kansas City Royals pushed their chips to the middle and traded three left-handed pitchers for a former all-star and previous 20-game winner, Johnny Cueto.

What came next was mixed results and some fanbase angst, until Cueto turned in two all-time performances in franchise history:

8 innings, 2 hits, 2 runs, 8 strikeouts in game 5 of the ALDS against the Houston Astros

9 innings, 2 hits, 1 run, 4 strikeouts in game 2 of the World Series against the New York Mets.

Before those legendary performances though, Royals fans were blessed upon his arrival with the Johnny Cueto song.
