A banner week for the Kansas City Royals offense as they gained five ranking spots and pulled out of the runs scored cellar.
A much needed offensive explosion thanks to the thin air of Denver, Colorado, jumped the Royals to 27th in runs scored in all of MLB, despite playing three fewer games than the league average.
Home runs gained a ranking spot this week thanks to a two-#DongTown week from Bobby Witt Jr. and Whit Merrifield.
Walks draw are also on the rise thanks to the five-walk week from Michael A. Taylor. Taylor is second on the team in walks with 15, giving him a .333 OBP on the season. A sentence that has never appeared on the Internet before.
The Royals have eight games this week against the top two teams in the division, the White Sox and the Twins, including five in four days against Chicago.
The record is 12-20.
