On Saturday the Milwaukee Brewers designated Lorenzo Cain for assignment.
The two-time All Star and 2019 Gold Glove winner was the catalyst and best player on the 2015 World Series winning Royals. The key piece for the Royals in trade sending Zack Greinke to the Brewers, Cain reached 10 years of service time, a tremendous accomplishment for a former 17th round draft pick.
It’s still unknown whether Cain will continue playing and catch on with another team or will opt to take his impressive resume into retirement. What is known is Lorenzo Cain is responsible for one of the more memorable plays and highlights of the 2015 season for the Kansas City Royals.
